Rigging and Scripting Challenge in Maya
A personal project I’ve started a while ago to learn more advanced rigging techniques in combination with the simulation of twigs, leaves and roots.
Aside from this character numerous MEL scripts and a generator for ribbon-rigs were created in the process.
Geometry and textures were later reworked in Z-Brush and Substance Painter to make the figure more suitable for close-ups.
The figure itself is inspired by my own ginseng, which is sitting right next to my TV at home.
